version 2.0

so after spending a lot more time on the project i have let the program start to dictate my story and the direction it is taking, with my previous idea of the city i felt it told a good story but didn't feel emotive and kind of felt pieced together rather than telling a cohesive story, so the idea has progresses further now we are in a rocky desolate landscape we see the protagonist who is reminiscent of a plague doctor, he has a staff with a flaming rosie ring above it, he hits his staff on the ground and a massive plume comes out engulfing the planet using may similar shots to the previous city showing nature dying the in the end the planet is engulfed and dissolves leaving nothing in it place, possibly starting the story again on a new planet,

Here is the first 19sec still needing some effects still need to be added but it demonstrates the increase how epic and emotive it feels, also the protagonast still need some more development. This is all created in after effects using Mir, Particular, Lux, Form, lots of lights and fractal effects and a lot of masks

  1. Hey Nick. I think you are letting the program dictate your style too much and I'm afraid to say that this new piece is far too close to Potemkin's EXODUS, that it would be considered plagiarism.

What we are looking for is your interpretation of the nursery rhyme, presented in an aesthetic that is based on your stylistic research. Your prelim investigations are fantastic and great for your workbook, but I'd like to see more of your own design work, influenced by your stylistic investigations.
